KRISTA VAN WAGNER (Curly's Grill and Bar) HONORED WITH MATER CHRISTI AWARD (photo on right: Krista and Kurt Van Wagner, owners of Curly's) Each year since 1993, the board of trustees at Immaculata Academy has held its annual Mater Christi Award Gala to honor deserving individuals with its prestigious Mater Christi Award. This year celebrates the 14th annual Mater Christi Award Gala honoring Rev. Msgr. Richard T. Nugent, Robert and Doris Drago, and Krista VanWagner. The event was held on Thursday, October 12, at Michael’s Banquet Facility in Hamburg. The event honors those whose lives exemplify the meaning of outstanding personal commitment and contributions to build greater communities. Specifically, the recipients of the award are selected based on the criteria reflected in the mission statement of Immaculata Academy: "…to be instruments of positive change in society." |
